Whether you are in the trying to conceive (TTC), pregnancy, or postpartum stage, managing your needs as a parent or parent-to-be with your needs as a therapist can be daunting. From financial considerations to concerns about changes to the client relationship, navigating this time period can be overwhelming. In supervision together, we will identify tools to help you manage these stressors and identify how to best prepare for this transition. As someone who has navigated infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum in private practice, I bring my own personal experience as well as the most up-to-date research to ensure that we are finding the best way to take care of you and your clinical practice. Physical and emotional self-care (during TTC, pregnancy, and postpartum)
Managing physical symptoms and changes (i.e., how do I manage nausea with back to back clients?!)
Navigating logistical considerations related to increased medical appointments
Addressing changes in the therapeutic relationship (and how to disclose your pregnancy)
Parental leave planning (including financial considerations and finding backup for clients)
